2019-09-22 Lake County First Responders’ Memorial Dedication

On this day, as part of our 11 am service, we will be dedicating a memorial to all first responders in the southwest corner of our church property. This memorial will serve as the first and only memorial to our first responders in Lake County. Present with us at this memorial will be Tim McCarthy, a Police Chief of Orland Park, Illinois, whose name rose to national attention when, as a Secret Service Agent, he sacrificed himself –saving the life of President Ronald Reagan– in an assassination attempt. Also present will be representatives from Police, Fire and Emergency Management departments from throughout Northwest Indiana.
Please join us at the dedication of this permanent memorial to those who have chosen to sacrifice themselves for our safety and well-being — our honored First Responders.
